ianIan McDougall
Ian started to paint seriously when he was in the 8th Army. Later he grew to like very sharp definitions, lots of straight lines, and fairly brilliant colours. Ian held an exhinbition is a Bond Street art gallery, softened his colours, and became interested in stained glass in cathedrals. such as Chartres near Paris, and remains interested in painted glass. Other painters he admires are Picasso and Dali as well as the Florentine school of the early sixteenth century. After a long affection for Venice he has turned to more up-to-date subjects. Ian exhibits in Sussex

elizabeth Elizabeth McDougall
Being more crafty than arty Elizabeth discovered decoupage a few years ago and has much enjoyed creating pictures and greeting cards using cut-out images from magazines etc. She likes to create images that amuse, that are not what they seem at first glance, that bring together subjects that do not fit together in the real world but which manage to harmonise through careful design and use of colour.
